*If the target folder is full and you have a second Hard Disk Drive, the contents will be copied to the second HDD with the same folder structure as the first HDD. Otherwise, detailed below is the process to copy to another subfolder, or to create a new folder. If you choose an existing folder, please proceed to step (12). You can select an existing folder (as shown in our Quick Start Guide) by selecting the round checkbox next to the folder name (e.g., Music1)*, or you can tap the space next to the folder name to browse existing subfolders or to create a new folder to copy the content to. Log in as root : Make sure that the device is not mounted. A window will appear asking you to select a target folder (6). Connect a USB flash drive to the system and execute the dmesg command.
Once you have selected the folders you wish to copy, press the "Copy to (aurender button)" text on the top right of the window (5). In the screenshot example, we have selected some of the folders while leaving others unselected.

When USB is selected, a list of folders located in the root directory of the USB drive will appear. If an external USB drive is attached to one of the Aurender's rear panel data ports, you will be able to browse the contents of the drive by selecting the USB option.
Once the folder view has been selected, the root folder menu will appear. Next, tap the "Folder" tab (2) to view the list of available storage devices. First, make sure you have the "Aurender" button selected (1) so that you can browse the internal contents of the Aurender (as opposed to TIDAL or Qobuz, etc.). Please note, all music playback will be paused during the Smart Copy process, though copy tasks may be paused to play music, and resumed when not listening to music. The process for copying from an external USB drive connected to one of the Aurender's rear USB data ports is detailed below.
Smart Copy allows you to copy content from an external USB storage drive, or from a NAS (network attached storage) drive using the Aurender Conductor App.
